Cantiamo Choirs of Ottawa is proud to have commissioned at least one new Canadian choral piece for each of our 19 years! This year we are honoured to add Erica Phare-Bergh to our list of commissioned Canadian composers!

Erica has just completed her arrangement of the traditional French song En passant par la Lorraine for our Cantiamo Training Choir and Cantiamo Girls Apprentice Choir.
Erica has taken this delightful melody and created a playful, spirited arrangement with fun, accessible challenges for the young singers, clever harmonic surprises in the piano accompaniment along with a perfect amount of body percussion! Erica’s arrangement is sure to be a favourite of choristers and audiences alike!
We are excited to start learning this piece as we move into in-person rehearsals for the first time this season for our young choristers!
